summary of articles:
the articles I found are generally about abolishing gender roles.
they talk about having a society where biological sex doesn't
matter, that husbands can get pregnant, men can wear high heels,
that we should come up with gender non-specific pronouns and ways
of address. like mr and ms should become mx. that was interesting.

questions:
1. is it possible to eradicate gender?

2. how much of the world is willing to be part of a genderless
society?

3. will society still work without gender?

4. so will we eventually become sexless as well?

5. is gender really such a bad thing?

phenomena:
1. there are really a lot of people who want to go genderless.

2. we have no idea what the 3rd world country people think about this.

3. quite a number of the anti-gender people are female.

4. there has been movement towards gender bending since a long time ago.

5. sex doesn't seem important -- it's all about the gender, and the roles associated with them that matters.

summary of articles:

the articles give a summary of transhumanism, more or less, and actually the bulk of it is about eugenics. it's a lot about how the human body can be improved, or changes in lifestyles can make humans more productive, live longer, live healthier. while it sounds good, there are some ethical issues involved here. like the article on feeding workers pills to make them more productive. the youtube video claims that transhumanism respects human rights, but does it really?

questions:

1. so what does it mean to be a human?
2. is eugenics really the best road for humans in the future?
3. what if we become like the society in brave new world?
4. can we use higher technology without destroying ourselves?
5. what is the main motive behind wanting to transcend humanity?

phenomena:

1. eat veg to prevent ageing! don't watch tv to protect your mind!
2. comparing transhumanism to gnosticism
3. increasing technology to save the world (huh?!)
4. transhumanism = dystopia
5. transhumanism and UFOs
